Sunny day road

Well there is not that many sunny days in front of us. Autumn is running its days. This Sunny day road photographs I capture while I was biking at the south of the Netherlands. The light and especially the cleanness of the air was wonderful. I couldn’t resist. Another reason why I stopped in this 70 km long bike trip was that I was last one anyway. Some nine or so other bikers were about 12 minutes in front of me at this moment. I, on my city bike, couldn’t compete with carbon frame, Tour de France race bikes. So I have enjoyed the moment, looked around. I decided to come back here again. It was very nice place between Maastricht and Aachen. Hey, not forget to click the image :-)

Juliáno. Mraky a celá fotka je tak ako som to videl. Také zmeny ako naznačuješ nerobím. Niekedy niečo zvýrazním ale inak nič.

Beautiful, this captures why I keep riding so much – open road, big skies, horizon inviting you to explore more, freedom, happiness. And a coffee shop somewhere down the road :).

I really love that special light since my first day at Netherlands. Sometimes the Sun and clouds make similar “dutch” light here at the end of September around 5pm . Maybe it’s combination of humidity, sun rays angle and the clouds.
Also I think my beloved Vincent van Gogh was able to catch that light and colour feeling in some of his best painings.

Although I love the jet engine exhaust traces (even at home here is quite a lot of lines on the sky) it seems too dark pic. The Sun is high enough to provide more light. Was it darkened during post-processing?

No, not postprocessing. The cameras are still not as good as our eyes and our brain. If you have such a strong light source as Sun in the middle of the picture and you still like to have some details around then anything which is in normal light will become dark.
If I would postprocess this to make it as my eye saw it. I would lighten up all front. But, in this case I like that focus of the observer should be on the sky and I left the horizont and foreground dark.
