Cold day

Cold Day.

Not all days were snowy, there were quite some cold days. Even in such a cold day I went for walk. I was glad to be able to join Tomas. We were walking across fields not following any signed paths. I really love that kind of walks.

New Lens in this cold day.

The black and white photograph in this post was one of the first taken with my new 12mm lens. I didn’t expect much at first, but I am quite happy about the results. 12mm which is in 35mm word seen as 18mm gave quite different point of view. The fact that the lens is manual focus give me more time. Time not only to focus, but time to think about the composition, light.

Zaujimavy pohlad z travy na svet. Krasne to vynikne v sedej skale.

Mam ešte jeden zaujímavý záber. Snáď na zajtra.

Iurie, :-) You do not speak Slovak? What a pity :-)
Andrej wrote “šedá skala” which you translate as grey stone, and I understood is as such, but it has not content relation to his previous text.

Then I asked, where do you see grey stone?
He reply oh šedá škála, which mean grey-scale.

Funny language misunderstanding, when you do not use proper accents. skala – škála

            in fact I wrote
            “seda skala” and I meant
“šedá škála” (grayscale) but Richard substitued different accented letters so he got
            “šedá skala” (gray stone).

I am often using no accented letters and it sometimes may be tricky to understand. But there is a lot of fun out of it sometimes.

What is it you are shooting with these days, Richard? Sounds like a smaller APS-C’ish sized camera? I am looking to moving from full frame to possibly the smaller Fuji X-Pro2

Yes. I have sold all my Nikon stuff more then year ago I think, maybe even two. I am using Fuji X-T1 and X-E2S (gave it to Ema while ago) with 35mm f2.0 Fuji Lens and 12mm f2.0 Samyang. Will see in the future, but I have my eyes on E3 but I am fine for now with what I have.
