The letters and the friends

It has been quick ten days, weather has turned from cold to warm. We have returned from Slovakia back to The Netherlands and joined the process of daily routine. If you know me, you know, I hate it. Routine, something going on and on, every day, same, and again, and again. Terrible! This routine eats me this last ten days. You may have notice, that I posted some images and writings in early days of this month. I liked that very much, it felt like in old days.

That brings me to the topic of this letter. I write this to you, whoever you are. It feels really like not many people stop by. The frequent visitors like Jeff or less frequent as Iurie, Dirk and Jacco. It is not terrible important, but you know, after while you wonder what is the point.
There are other people who I meet occasionally in real life. Daily routine of each of us is again against it. It doesn’t allow us to have proper, interesting discussion. Very rarely we both have time to sit and talk about non-routine topics. About things which are bloody more important then, how are you and what did you did yesterday, and where you go for holiday next summer.

I wonder, is it because people doesn’t have actually much in common? They don’t create something together? So the only things they have in common are routine bulshit? So they talk about it?
The important thoughts, which I am sure occurs to each of us, are gone in the flash of a second, because we have to pay attention while driving. We have to cook a dinner. We have to bring kids to… You go the point, I hope. Well maybe not, maybe you never actually come with your reading up to this point, because you have to…

I do stop by – usually when I see something from you on Twitter – it brings me to your site. I find your site interesting and sometimes inspiring as in your “Forest” posts. Sometimes, I’m not on Twitter for weeks since I’m not a big social media person.

I also have a journal/blog on my site on which I’ve seen maybe one or two comments but my posts are always about photo ideas I’m working on.

You know what’s funny (albeit, maybe not ha-ha funny), even though I just got it up earlier this year, already I am thinking of just totally dumping my The Life’s Journey website… for pretty much the exact same reason – what’s the point? Frankly, I have posted and done more on it’s Google Plus companion page, than I have on the site itself.

Sad. Pathetic even maybe. Using it as a means to a connection, a source of discussion, dialogue amongst people of like minded interests (i.e. photography, writing, life, learning, growing, etc.)… except, asking to do so on a medium that is littered with people with absolutely no commitment and involvement to anything that isn’t just some pithy little less-than-a-paragraph writeup, or image, or video, or cute little GIF that can be viewed and then moved on passed in the shortest amount of time, in order to get to the next.

    I don’t know.

Maybe we should put together and publish writings, photos and more on single website? What do you think?

My gosh, can you imagine? Then our combined viewership could potentially explode to six viewers! :-)
