Saturday I visited building (Ahmed Adnan Saygun Sanat Merkezi) on the image as there is Izmir Europe Jazz festival going on. I wanted to see the place and maybe buy some tickets. Surprisingly there was no activity over weekend in this building. All is happening in week days, this is rather different from what I am normally used back home.

What amazed me was the building itself. I have few images of it. If I understood right this building is rebuild from old bus central station and is dedicated to important composer and conductor from Turkey. There is a music hall and some exposition places.

I like this building a lot, not sure but it reminds me not by material but by shape style of French well known architect Le Corbusier.

Cool, Richard… I love the dark, ominous clouds… also in the second image, how in the break in the clouds you can see the contrails in the upper atmosphere of the sky, really makes for a really cool depth and look.

Wishing you a continued safe trip.
